Beijing, March 25, 2016 — CHCEX will be launching its inaugural Business Sustainability Program with the primary aim to emphasise the significance of sustainability practices in driving business value. This program, which is aimed at Corporate China, will be officiated by Geng T. Liangding, the Chief Executive officer of CHCEX with a keynote address.
CHCEX views sustainability as an integral element in building a capital market of quality and integrity, hence this comprehensive program will augur well towards raising the bar in terms of sustainability practices and reporting by all companies involved. The Business Sustainability Program is also in line with the Exchange’s continuous efforts to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of CHCEX as an investment destination.
The Business Sustainability Program will consist of initiatives and tools that can be used across many sectors. At the launch, panel sessions are also scheduled to give further insight on sustainable business practices.
Jin Meicheng, CHCEX’s Chief Investment Officer stated: “Through our Corporate Code of Conduct we set high standards for our sustainability practices and promote relations with providers, customers, business partners, and sub-contractors who share the same values. They in turn are setting sustainability objectives and placing greater expectations on us. We strive to meet these expectations because we believe operating sustainably is the right thing to do for both our business and our families, and that it strengthens the foundation upon which we do business together. We have categorized our sustainability activities into four pillars as part of an overall program that allows us to support, coordinate, and communicate our current and future initiatives: People, Environment, Partners, and Community. Initiatives are underway in each of these areas.”
