Dee Stringer, Lymphoedema Therapist: “Every Therapist Should Use DEEP OSCILLATION® To Help Maximise Patient Care”

“I have worked in Lymphoedema care for five years and have purchased pumps & lasers as well as applying techniques such as MLD and FG-MLD. I have had recognised awards in the care industry using all of these.

Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK, March 31, 2016 — “I have worked in Lymphoedema care for five years and have purchased pumps & lasers as well as applying techniques such as MLD and FG-MLD. I have had recognised awards in the care industry using all of these. However, having purchased a Hivamat® 200 (DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy) in November 2015, the changes I have achieved have taken my company forward and improved patient care”.

“DEEP OSCILLATION® is fabulous for moving Primary Lymphoedema with a 6 cm reduction in one appointment. I have used on a patient with head and neck lymphoedema with an excellent result in one 15 minute treatment.

In a lady with Lipoedema and Secondary Lymphoedema it has taken a little longer, but now we have 5.37 litres off and papillomatosis has disappeared. The entire shape and size of her legs have changed completely. New shoes bought on a Sunday were too big on the following Thursday. She has not worn ‘proper’ shoes in 10 years.

Using the smaller applicator heads on hands have helped to break down fibrositis in rheumatoid arthritis. One gentleman had not been able to extend his fingers in 3 years and now finds this can be done with ease. I have also used DEEP OSCILLATION® for frozen shoulders with fabulous effect. After a long day doing therapies my shoulders get sore with some of the larger limbs which I treat so I also use the applicators for DEEP OSCILLATION® self deep tissue massage.”

DEEP OSCILLATION® is a non-invasive, non-traumatic treatment which is well received by patients. Because of it’s gentle application it is a unique treatment for acute and chronic injury, and day one post-operative. Implanted pins and plates can be safely worked over due to its non-thermal nature.

DEEP OSCILLATION® can induce the following clinically documented effects in treated tissue:
-Strong pain-alleviating potential. This applies to acute traumatic as well as to chronic pain conditions [1-11] -Anti-inflammatory effect [12, 13].
-Prevention and reduction of secondary [1, 3, 6, 14-16] and primary lymphoedema [17] -Prevention of fibrotic remodelling processes, reduction of fibrosis [1, 14, 16] -Muscle relaxation, promotion of physical activity, mobilisation [3, 18] -Support of wound healing processes [15, 19, 20] -Normalisation of haemodynamic parameters of the skin, correction of aesthetic-neurotic problems and influence on biological ageing through preventive effects on premature ageing [21]
