The release of Maui Madness: Rockin Rollers puts Global Ride Productions just one DVD away from completing the third box set from the three main vacation islands of Hawaii. This virtual cycling training DVD features the most versatile set of rolling hills ever put on one DVD, with incredible cliff-top views of the ocean worthy of even the non-rider.
Pittsburgh, PA, January 22, 2015 — Global Ride Productions, bringing the outdoor ride inside through the magic of video, today announced that its eighth of 9 virtual cycling training videos is available on their website and through Amazon for $29.95.
As early as 2008, Global Ride Productions has been leading the indoor cycling market in virtual cycling rides. These change the typical Spinning® experience into a more cycling specific and realistic outdoor bike ride, with an emphasis on training or riding with purpose. This brand of virtual cycling videos targets health clubs, fitness facilities, and independent indoor cycling studios, but is loved by cyclists riding at home as well.
Maui is possibly the most popular island in the Hawaiian chain. Rockin’ Rollers is the second title now released in this Maui series that has been dubbed “Maui Madness”. This is the best type of insanity; insanely good views, insanely good weather, and insanely perfect terrain for a once in a lifetime ride. This Maui series of DVDs may end up being the most popular of all the virtual cycling series from Hawaii (box sets for both the Big Island and Kauai have already been released).
Previous box sets were kept at an hour to make sure to cover more terrain and give a bigger variety to the training rider or indoor cyclist. However, with the release during the winter, and the Cycling Fusion principles being put to use more and more on all new cycling DVDs, there was a natural desire to increase the time or length of each video.
“The audio track for these DVDs is really starting to become a stand-out feature for these DVDs. The work on specific training aspects during the filming is spot on, and it still gives the riders some latitude to keep it fun and interesting. By going to 90 minutes on this set of DVDs, there are more training opportunities than ever before” said Tom Scotto, principle coach on the DVD and Director of Education at Cycling Fusion.
Maui has two major land masses that are easily identifiable. The smaller mass is considered West Maui, a bike ride around it in total is almost an exact metric Century or 61 miles. The riding community refer to it as the “West Maui Loop”. There are some flats along the ocean as you enter and exit Lahaina (the most popular town on the island), but after that, the back country begins a gradual climb that puts the rider along cliffs that meander around this western land mass and can only be described as spectacular.
Between these amazing views, and the additional 30 minute bonus section, the value-add to this release is substantial. One Global Ride Productions fans described it like this:
“Troy Jacobson has his virtual series and the bike-o-vision titles have been around for a while with their classical music. But one purchase of the France series by Global Ride in 2014 put this genre of cycling dvds in a whole new light. The pace line concept was really motivating…especially when dropped by the other riders forcing a huge effort to catch the leaders. This new Rockin Rollers title looks like it has the best of the Global Ride aspects with the many peaks and valleys that Spinervals uses and the pace line concept that gives a group ride feel.” said Bill Bergbauer, Global Ride fan.
The company will be showing the first public airing during their Winter Training broadcast series shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with the DVD already being offered on their website and through Amazon for $29.95.
