Guitar Virtuoso Kapil Srivastava Shines Heads And Shoulders Above Contemporaries

Best guitarist of India by virtue of the epic scale of his achievements. Kapil, who is arguably India’s best guitarist, has collaborated with many Indian and international artists on a number of projects. That apart he has a mind bogglingly large number of firsts to his credit.

New Delhi, Delhi, India, January 17, 2015 — In an era where blowing one’s own trumpet has become the hall mark of success, Kapil Srivastava is content to let his talent speak for itself. Says the normally reticent Kapil, “I have more hours of guitar playing experience than many of the so called accomplished guitar players put together. There is no genre that I don’t excel in be it western classical, Indian classical, western folk, Indian folk, Holly wood instrumental music, Indian instrumental music, jazz and fusion. I have released a large number of my won albums across these genres.”

Not only that, Kapil, who is arguably India’s best guitarist, has collaborated with many Indian and international artists on a number of projects. That apart he has a mind bogglingly large number of firsts to his credit. These include contributing a solo guitar instrumental composition for a Bollywood movie, being chosen out of thirty competitors for their Solo Indian Guitarists category by Sa Re Ga Ma HMV to contribute to their underground series, being chosen as the session guitarist by Sa Re Ga Ma HMV for their animation concept, Lady Chaterjee,  as well as the song Pyar Aur Dosti, cutting an album with Padma Bhushan Sarod player Sultan Khan and receiving the Delhi State award as the Best Guitarist of Delhi in 2007.

There are so many achievements to this incredibly talented artist, including probably being the fastest guitarist in India that one will need a book to describe them all. Some of his other salient achievements are as follows:
