Skeeball teams from around the country come to NYC to crown a Skeeball Champion.
New York, NY, March 24, 2015 — This April New York City, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ and NYC Skee League will host the Social Leagues Skeeball National Championships.
April 10-12, 2015 in Midtown, Skeeballers from across the country will descend on Brother Jimmy’s BBQ will compete to be crowned the best in the nation.
First, everyone’s favorite boardwalk arcade game was put into bars. Then people started playing in leagues, and now people are traveling to New York City to compete to be the best.
“Skeeball leagues are a great way to meet new people, hang out with friends and they have gotten surprisingly competitive,” said Giovanni Marcantoni. “This weekend will be our second National Championship, and it’s very exciting to see all our leagues come together.”
Marcantoni founded the Baltimore Skeeball league in 2010 and has since grown the Skeeball leagues to seven markets across the country.
Teams from Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Charleston, SC, Baltimore, Washington DC and New York City have spent the last year playing in leagues and qualifying through city championships to earn an invite to the national championships.
The competition will held all day on Saturday, April 11th at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ (181 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10016), but there will be activities for contests and the public to join in on all weekend long. Anyone is welcome to come watch and join in the festivities.
