Shah Rukh Khan’s latest blockbuster Happy New Year was expected to collect Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office at least by its third weekend, but the film has failed to do so. The official box office figures of Happy New Year at the end of the third weekend since its release this Diwali stand at Rs 198.61 crore. This is just falling short of the coveted Rs 200 crore, which we hope Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film manages to reach by the end of Week 3 this Thursday (November 13).
Heist movie Happy New Year, directed by Farah Khan, had collected Rs 193.44 crore by its 15th day at the domestic (Indian) box office. This was the end of its second week of release. According to latest figures, the Happy New Year box office collection for its third weekend (18th day) stands at Rs 5.17 crore only. Its day-wise box office collections for third weekend are as follows: Friday Rs 1.04 crore, Saturday Rs 1.80 crore and Sunday Rs 2.33 crore.
